COMING SOON - THE STORY OF THE PENGUIN INTERNATIONAL RUGBY FOOTBALL CLUB

The Story of the Penguin International RFC.

The Story of the Penguin International Rugby Football Club celebrates the golden anniversary of this, the world’s premier touring club. This Sidcup-born touring phenomenon is recognised as probably the best-ever exponent of British and international 7s and 10s rugby football. They have played in, or against, teams from no fewer than 57 countries. More recently, the establishment of the HSBC/Penguin International Coaching Academy with its world-wide reputation for the promotion of education – and in particular the provision of training for young persons in the skills of rugby football – has set new standards in the teaching of sporting excellence.

Dick is writing the book in close collaboration with Alan Wright – Penguin International RFC’s co-founder and Life President. The book will be available from all good bookshops and, of course, here on this site, in 2011.

An apology!

Alan and Dick originally believed that it would be possible to launch the book in time for Christmas, 2010, but have subsequently unearthed and received so much material that a 2011 launch date now seems more feasible.

As Dick says: 'It's taking a little longer than we thought, but it will be a better, more comprehensive record of the history of the Penguins when it's done. And we're very aware that an awful lot of people out there are eager to get their copy, so we thank you all for your patience!'

If you'd like to receive updates on the prospective launch date of The Story of the Penguin International RFC please email me and I'll keep you informed.
